LeapScholar and Colorado State University Unveil New Partnership: Introduce New Computer Science Pathway Program for Indian Students

LeapScholar has announced its recent partnership with Colorado State University (CSU) as a component of the broader Leap initiative.  In this newfound partnership as a part of Leap Advantage, CSU- a leading STEM college and public research university in the USA, extends its award-winning Computer Science program to Indian students through a hybrid and cost-effective format. Through its recent collaboration, Leap further solidifies its commitment to providing Indian students with a pathway to top-quality International education.

The Computer Science graduate degree program at Colorado State University consistently ranks among the top programs in the country. Students can complete their master's degree within an average of 2 years, choosing between in-person classes or the new hybrid format. Notably, the program offers flexibility, enabling students to fulfil degree requirements without a research thesis and opt for a research project.

A part of the program will be delivered online in India, and the rest will be on campus in Fort Collins. This hybrid format will effectively reduce the program's total cost by almost INR 24 Lakhs. With a STEM degree, students will qualify for 3-year post-study work authorization upon graduation, just like full-time international students.

Regarding the collaboration with CSU, Vaibhav Singh, Co-Founder of Leap, said, “Leap is enthusiastic and deeply committed to forging partnerships that fulfil the educational aspirations of Indian students. The STEM programs stand out as a favored choice among international students, thanks to the multitude of career prospects they offer. We are thrilled about our recent collaboration with CSU, as it allows us to provide our students with the most sought-after programs at a more affordable cost.”

"The Computer Science program has been welcoming Indian students into its program for many years," said Dr. Sanjay Rajopadhye, Professor & Graduate Director in the Computer Science department. "We are proud to collaborate with Leap to offer a hybrid option that provides both flexibility and affordability. We hope to encourage more Indian students to join CSU."

The fall session for Computer Science starts on Monday, August 19, 2024.  Applications are open now, and the last date to apply for the hybrid program is July 1, 2024.
